Hey big jig, i was curious where that fishing dock is? I find myself down that way from time to time and am always looking for somewhere to wet a line.

Good luck out there folks and stay safe.

Fished yesterday with a couple of great guys, Larry and his son Marcus. We started out with a bang and it just got better. The pattern hasn't changed. We fished bombers over rocks for the entire half day trip which produced walleyes, sheepshead and northern.

Fished an area new to me along the Minnesota shoreline. Saw one boat trolling and another flipping for bass. Caught both smallmouth and largemouth on rocks and wood pitching plastics and swimming a jig. Downsized to a light jig head short worm. Bites were more frequent but broke off on a good one. Ran over to the north end of Stoddard when the sun popped out and caught a few good largemouth on a hollow belly frog, and had a fair share of blow ups that I didn't hook up on.

We fished up north on pool 8 and the weather was good and the bite was better. We used ultralight tackle and small jigs tipped with plastics under a small bobber. The river is low and the fish are near the rocks and gravel. We caught a mixed bag of hard fighting fish. We kept about a dozen panfish, mostly crappie with a few nice bluegills. We also caught some nice smallies and one big pike that we took some pictures of and let go. The panfish action should get better in the next couple of weeks so we will see you on the river.

Took some friends Wayne and Teresa out yesterday on a scouting trip. First spot produced a nice walleye. Bombers on the rocks was the ticket for the day.

Pontoon rental yesterday. Turned out to be a perfect day. Beautiful blue sky and sunshine and the fish were biting. Life doesn't get much better.

Went out this morning checking on walleyes. Caught this 24 incher and a couple of shorts in 2 hours. Caught fish on crankbaits over rocks. Walleyes are moving into their summer spots. Time to go fishing!

First rental of the season. John and his wife rented a pontoon on a beautiful day. Did a little fishing and ended up catching a real nice northern.

Fished inside and outside the islands on Friday. Still a little early. Caught a half dozen or so largemouth, all small males. Would only take slow worked plastics. Didn't see much panfish activity. Stopped in at the marina, several people fishing, no one was catching.
