Lake Metonga

Big winds overnight cleared the ice. Lake is angry with the northwest wind. A couple weeks ago I thought it was a long shot to have no ice on the opener. Melting snow during the warm stretch with rain and wind recently finished the job. Good luck to everyone on the opener. 

Thanks for the info Codger. I've been watching the camera over looking the north shore landing but it's difficult to see the ice situation. It does look like snow has arrived again. Again appreciate the info.

Lake is over half open and I believe a good wind will clear it. However there have been years when a big chunk floats around for a few days. I can’t imagine it holding on all week. I’ll try to give you an update later in the week. 

Can anyone give some info on the ice? Would like to get the dock and lift in this weekend.

It is not.   Only small areas around shore and vets park.
