Hi,
There are two public access locations, one of them is public park with boat ramp and the other opposite side of the lake is technically business owned/bar- people use their parking lot however as a good gesture end up getting a meal, technically one does not belong there unless you are utilizing their parking lot as a customer therefore I usually use the public park access, you can easily google with satellite view to see both locations. Lake has bass, not sure about walleye. I caught one bass over the years I have ice fished it however it is mainly norther pike, perch and I heard there are lots of bullhead. Max depth is 13' therefore it is a pretty shallow lake, gradually increasing depth from the shore to the middle.

I don't think it is a question ,if the ice is forming, I have no doubt it is all locked up with these temps, the question is how thick it has gotten. My guess with temps as such and minimal snow cover , we probably have at least 3" by now. By all means no one should follow the guestimate and should check themselves before taking a journey across the lake. With few more days of these temps before the weekend, I am sure there will be guys out on the lake this weekend, that is when we will probably see some real reports. Stay safe.
I can confirm large numbers of big bullhead in here as well. Caught plenty. Definitely more active when the sun is down. But anytime I fish with live bait I'm not surprised to get at least one or two even mid day.
I also don't think they are new to the system because I have caught them ever since I started fishing Eagle. 6-7 years I've been catching them out here. I'm surprised how stunted the panfish population is because I'm assuming the bullhead eat a lot of the smaller panfish plus we have a good bass and northern population. Although I haven't been catching as many northerns in the summer like I have in past years. Got a lot earlier in the year though. Bass fishing seems on par with the past few years. Starting to catch more and more walleye this year too. Even got a 18.5in but I still wouldn't label this lake as a walleye fishery by any means. Just seem to get em randomly here and there. Evenings are better but of course you'll run into the bullheads then too.
Also all those tiny bullheads make great forage for walleye. Im pretty sure they feed on them. Similar to the willow cats on the Mississippi no?
