Port Washington Harbor (Inside Harbor Only)

I believe the outer harbor is fishable 24 hours , as long as you are east of the first breakwall turning left into the gap . I would check with the Harbor Master as they probably have a chart showing what is considered inland waters and whats not ! 

can you fish over night in a boat in the outer harbor or is under the 30min law

Watching live cam since sunrise today . There were eight private boats anchored in the gap , and bunch of shore fishermen fishing from lighthouse pier on the lakeside ! Did see a couple of fish jump at sunrise , and 1 net go down from a boat . Not sure if they got fish , another boat going out of harbor thru gap , may have interfered with fighting fish ! Boats coming and going thru armada zig zagging to get thru ! Anybody in that gap doing any good care to report water temp or any success stories ?

I hope the westerly winds next week will push some of that deeper colder water from 2 miles out, into the harbor , and bring in some fresh run Kings or Coho !   ​

It was 81F coming out of the plant mid day yesterday, 68F outside the harbor. Wind directions haven't been the greatest. I believe they normally pump out 10F warmer than what they take in, but when an east wind pushes back in what they push out, it gets warmer than what it really should be. Some, somewhat cooler water underneath it all (65F on bottom yesterday in the gap).

I see on cam that many small boats are trolling harbor . Question is are they catching anything, or is harbor water still to warm , and are fish even eatable ? The silence is deafening. ! Any action at Coal Park , or is the warm water still an issue ? Westerly winds are coming next week , but will fish still be smokeable ? Any info will be appreciated .PM me if you prefer . There ARE other harbors that produce salmon other than Port just fyi and that have been better shore fishing than port as well recently, they are as follows......
- Milwaukee
-Racine
-Kenosha
-Sheboygan

Where have you been? Fish have been in for 3 weeks now, but just not biting well with how warm the harbor has been with the power plant pumping heat. It's been better at night or in the deepest parts of the harbor/outside the harbor. There aren't really fish in the current at the moment (there was a week ago), but there are fish even in the North Slip, but still just not biting.
