Back in the cattin' saddle again!
"Catitude" (Rick) invited me to start this catfishing season in his new boat fishing on the now famous Catfish Corridor on the WI River near Stevens Point, WI. WE pitched "aged" minnows and Triple S dip bait (cheese and blood formulas) at our whiskered friends in gray, windy, chilly conditions. The weather didn't bother the kitty cats and they allowed us to wrangle 'em and release 'em... ALL 30 of 'em! (1# - 3#).
GREAT CATTIN' DAYS AHEAD!!!

March came in like a minnow but out like a catfish. ElGato and his son were out on the Catfish Corridor Sunday midday. The boys were chucking minnow snacks to the residents. I arrived after a couple hours with fermented beverages to see how things were going. WOW!! The boys only had 4 rods out because of the action. Pretty constant for hours. 68 willing participants to the FREE circle hook piercings. Plenty of mud on the bellies yet, cats can still be found in the winter holes, for now. Same photos as before because these are cookie cutter sized fish.

Wow did that single degree night lock up some fishing areas. El Gato and I started out at 10 this morning to new grounds. First spot we crawled over the mound to find out she is iced over. Second spot, open water. Hour in and only a few nibbles. Third spot breezy ice rafts cruising past. Still no contestants agreed to participate. Back to familiar grounds, Catfish Corridor. Marvin's Flat, ICED OVER.Back to the truck and over to Ralph's Rock!! Finally open water and some active participants. When all said and done we chatted with 12 nice eater cats.
Is anyone having any success in SE Wisconsin for the channels yet? I don't typically bother with them until the water temps are 50+. I would like to take a shot at them if anyone can share anything to motivate me. Very much appreciated. Feel free to message me if you like.
Tight lines!
