Swan Lake

Having never fished this lake before, so we didn't know what to expect other than a good day of fishing, not working.
 We worked the break/drop off along several stretches using lipless cranks and deep diving cranks & bobbers w/ nighties & fatheads. Ended up with several white bass, a few nice bluegills, 3 legal LM & 2 legal Northerns. Only kept 2 bass & 2 BG. 
 Misted on us several times on a day of 2-3% chance of rain.
 It was fun day on new water with some really nice fish caught.

They must have too much to eat.

No walleye just can not find them anymore 
Used to catch dozens to get one legal now
Just clouds of shad and 4 inch white bass.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WALLEYE?

Was gone north until Tue evening while the carp & buffalo fish  were up rolling near  surface. The kid arrowed a few tub fulls. Bluegill males also got serious fanning out spawning sites in 2 or 3 feet of water. Time for kids with bobbers & worms.

No significant rain since 1st week of April, weeds downstream haven't grown enough yet to hold back water soo, lake is low for this time of year. And very clear. DNR filled in the blow hole at public ramp,,,again. Use your winch, not the throttle soo the next person doesn't get their trailer hung up. A rebuild of concrete ramp is back in the plan after no contractors interested when work  went out for bids.

20yrs ago it was catch 20 to get 1 legal what happened?

I fish.it quite a bit.Havent caught a walleye on swan in 3 ?  years..They need stock it again..

Are there any walleye left in this lake? Guys from 15 yrs ago tell me not to waste my time. Don't want to drive that far if this is true

I was at my inlaws Friday on the lake, saw fishing boats running WOT.  The water didn't seem that high, pretty sure there is not a temporary no-wake order in place.
