thousands of blue gill coming in to die or already dead coming on shore lines. Seems like more than usual for Winter kill. Some decent sized crappies floating today. The gills that are still alive are sluggish and dark some with blemishes on them. Any thoughts? Otherwise no Walleyes seen caught at Dam or below today.

That is the extent of what i know. I have been more focused on the fact that without real change in the rules/regs/laws that various companies and in some cases homeowners apply for a permit and can spray. It is almost always a 24D product from what I have read.

smoker66  You seem to have your finger on the pulse of this subject.  What is the name of the product being used on the lake?  2-4-d comes in different forms, but usually not a go to for lake weeds.  Product name would help to better understand it.  Where can I get specific info?

Because any home owner or association can apply for a permit or the company they hire can apply for a permit. Not owning the water or knowing you live on a backwater or wide spot in a river unfortunately is not how it works. They come in with 2-4-D and the fish are very sensitive to it. It is a devastating to bluegill and largemouth. The issue is the timing of the spraying. Homeowners that have the right prop and just use a pontoon would solve the problem but folks spend a few hundred thousand to live on the Buffalo and they don't understand the type of waterfront property they have purchased. With all the farm run off in central wisconsin you are basically going to have never ending supply of milfoil just like Puckaway. Great in April and May and early June and sucks in July, August and September fpr boating or swimming.  Most the lakes are just not swimming lakes. They are drainage lakes or wide spots in the river like Puckaway and Buffalo.

GMX, Homeowners do not own the water or land under it. How does the Homeowners have the right to allow or disallow spraying around there docks?
