I don't know where all the reports are. It would be nice to hear from people even if the news is not good. Between warm water, east wind and construction I haven't been out much since July. Maybe that's why others aren't reporting. You could try the fishin hole hot line (414) 481-9090 but according to Roger the fishing always seems to be good. Maybe I need to go back to salmon school but I've been struggling. Hope to start seeing some reports
It seems like fishing reports are way, way down compared to last year. A year ago, I could get info about how deep, what baits, even trolling speed. Now reports are few and far between. What's up?
Hoping to go out tomorrow morning. Don't know if I should troll harbor or head out to deeper and cooler water. Any thoughts?

Partly Sunny

Fished yesterday from 430-730PM. Stayed inside harbor with 3-4' ers outside the wall. Jigged spoons/hair jigs/plastic. Trolled cranks/J-plugs/Brads. Not a single bite, despite seeing quite a bit on the electronics. Thought the recent rain might trigger them. Did not see any other nets hit the water and other guys at launch had similar luck. We may need string of cooler weather to lower water temps. McKinley is open but messy. At least the new pay box isn't installed yet. Good luck to all.

We went out salmon fishing on Lake Michigan last night. We saw hardly anything on the locator. We figured at this time of year that the salmon would be in close as they get ready for staging up the river. So we fished in 40 to 60 ft of water assuming we would find things but we found hardly anything at all. No bites and very few fish marked. So now I have no idea whether to go deeper or whether I should stay closer to the break wall because maybe they've come in closer for staging? Anybody having any luck with salmon? What depth of water are you fishing and how far down?
