Fox River DePere - Voyager

@jasonemt.  Move up river a bit.  Go out of ashwaubomay park or fox point launch.  Current should slow down a bit.  Problem is the ice isn't holding up.  The channel will be frozen over at 700 am.  But by 1200 there'll be pond sized pockets of open water.  Super sketchy in my opinion.  Not a good year for river fishing.  

With the warm temps and rain coming the beginning of next week this ice won't last long, I would bet a week from now it will be open water again if the forecast holds true!!

Out on the river out of Voyager Park now. 3-4” of crystal clear ice. I’m fishing in 7’ of water and there is a lot of current. Not marking many fish and the ones that do show up have not been hungry. 

Got on the ice around 4pm yesterday and fished until 5:30.

Had some decent luck, a lot of walleyes still around.

There were guys fishing off the park last night as I drove by at 4:30

I went to check the ice from the Fairgrounds today and saw somebody must’ve gotten there earlier in the day and drilled holes out from the launch to about 200 -300 yards out.  Just curious if anyone on here was out there and what the thickness was.
