How’s the ice looking? Coming up next week. Hoping I can get out there with this winter we’re having

Hoping someone might help put me on some fish?  Long weekend in October with some elementary school friends celebrating a friend who took his own life.  Would love to have a fish fry!  We’re saying near musky bay 

Spent some time on LCO the last week of July. Fishing was not easy!
Caught a few smallmouth on artificial baits, a few bass and Walleye on live bait. Had to cover a lot of water to find some fish!
Got chased off the water by storms, hopefully others did better!

Came with the intention of fishing for walleyes. Tried early early (5:15 am) for walleyes around some weed beds in 8 FOW where it drops into over 20'.

Tried for walleye until about 8-9 am, marked some out in 20' feet, still no dice.

Then we just slip bobber and leech fished humps all over the lake and absolutely annihilated the small mouth bass. I bet we boated over 20 Smallies in 2-3 hours out there. Nothing super giant, biggest was over 18", average was 14"-16" I bet.
