Ive seen a few guys catching them from the West side from shore off the wall. Anglers from the beach on the east haven't had much success from what I've seen while ive been out but thats likely due to the fish being in deeper water which is easier to reach from the West shore
Water: 35°
Hit Castle Rock dam for a couple hour trip this afternoon. Bite was slow but steady. Jig and minnow out produced plastics for us.
Water temp was 35.5.
We found the most active fish in 18-22 FOW.
We ended with 3 legals a perch and this beautiful 25 incher.
Dates available yet for Feb open water

Never fished this area of the river before but did a little yesterday. Shore fished below the dam right at the dam. Got one sheep on a ned rig with a crawler and one walleye short on a leech. Didn't really try too long. Nobody else shore fishing up where I was caught anything but they were fishing for muskys with suckers. I was fishing for anything with worms and leeches.
Sunny 85°

Fished Sunday the 28th from 11-9ish mixed bag 1 perch , caught multiples of cats , sturgeon , under sized eyes , wht bass , northern a ski and ONLY 2 sheeps. Not my worst day here , but the hot mess at the launch , reminded me of why i launch down river. Not much happening from the other boats only seen very small wht bass or sheeps being caught and 1 MONSTER cat. I was quiet surprised only 5 boats tried to fish ON my lines, after constantly catching fish with only 1 boat pulling out something small. I guess fisherman's courtesy isn't practiced here when there is plenty of room everywhere. Most gave it 15 minutes or less and moved on. The key was keeping it 4 inches or less from the bottom, and as far from the boat as possible, just like usual.

Out Sunday from 9:30-2. 3 sturgeon, 3-sheepshead and 4-walleye. Walleye were 14-14 3/4”. Very low water, marked fish but they didn’t want much of anything that was offered. Saw 2 other fish caught. Need some rain bad.
