Wisconsin River - Prairie Du Sac

Water is low, haven’t seen it like this in years!

Needfeesh great map!  That baby is ingrained in Coach, Taco and my brains!  Walleye's bit decent yesterday!  Three keepers that were all released!

The water level is really low ! 

Needfeesh  Go slow?  I have used a similar route for 20+ years there and I don't go slow as my motor is deeper in the water then.  I think the southern red box on your map is close to a deep hole, from there I turn and take a heading straight for a garage door on the west side of the dam, then get fairly close to the big doors on the east side of the power plant to get to the pool on the east side of the dam.  A friend of mine broke a skeg because he turned east too soon.  The red line across Wisconsin River should go north farther

Good map Needfeesh! That route has held true for me over the years. The flow is currently about 4800 CFS. Anything below 4000 and I don't risk it in my deep V though it's certainly doable.

This is the route I took with a 16.5' Deep V in the fall of 2023. Anything in red will gaurantee you hitting bottom. Orange will be basically a dice roll whether you touch bottom or not. Green will be the route. There is a wing dam that spans across the river that will be sketchy to cross. Trim up and go slow.

Has anyone still been able to get up to the dam with the low water level? If you were, is it possible to pm me the general route? I’m trying to avoid dinging up the prop on my dads boat
