Wisconsin River Below Petenwell Dam

Here is a link to the hydroelectric data that show water flow for the Wisconsin River. I have not been up to the dam lately, but the Flow is extremely High right now @ 29,184 cfs.

This is well above flood stage, so the River is probably Raging with all gates open right now and the parking lot is usually flooded and the launch is not usable. You wouldn’t be able to access shore fishing either.

Thinking of heading out below the Dam this weekend at some point.  Can anyone share how the bite is and if the gates are open?  

Do they maintain the road going down to the dam? Going to be in the area this weekend and have some time to kill, thinkin about doing some fishin to scratch the itch but the forecast is calling for some snow.
