On at 2:30, off at 4, water 46. How to be gentle ? The meat showed up 1:30 minutes late. Not properly clothed. Went to a spot and first cast, nice crappie. In the next 30 minutes, we caught about 30 crappies. But, at that point he was froze. He wanted to get out of that wind. We worked a few quiet spots. Picked up a few gills. Went back out in the wind. But the fish were not happy either. They were headed to Florida for spring break. Caught a few and called it a day. We had about 15 that we kept, never really counted them. The bite was EXTREMELY light. Best of luck to all.

Out yesterday. On at10:30, off at 3, water 47. Killed them, they were jumping in the boat. Fresh meat in the boat today.Started on gills. He caught 2 for every one I caught. Kept turning the boat and moving so he would not get so many, it did not work. He had his two Zepco reels getting so hot he had to put cold water on them. I had 6 bass he had 8 and bigger ones then mine. I had 50 gills he had a hundred. The only glad I had was when we switched to crappies. We were about even, but I had the big one at 12 1/2. I did catch 25 in about 30 minutes. There was a guy all alone in his boat watching me with his tongue hanging out. As we were leaving, he was moving to our spot. Hope he did well. But the spot is only one of the three things you need. The other 2 are tackle and technique. Best of luck to all. [email protected]

Man, wish I could help, Kingcrappie, but it's early March, and 95% of fish are still out deep. I was on a lake where  nothing  was happening from public land. A friend of mine tried and got nothing.  There's a few fish in man made shallow channels, and swampy bays that can't really be accessed from shore. It will be awhile before fish move into accessible hard bottom shore areas

Well, ice season was a real big disappointment this year, but I'm moving on. Gills can be found in black bottom bays on North sides of lakes. Kept 8 for a meal,  7.75 to 8.5 inch. Small tungsten jig with Maki plastic and waxies.  Fish were mainly in down trees on the north side or black mud near shore.  Used a lite bite bobber and even then you had to be psychic to detect a strike

Kimchi  is sauerkraut. Plus they it a 100 different ways. I eat some every day. With a gun to her head, she still will not eat it. Also she is 100 %  German. But thanks for taking the time to pass that on.

HERO,
I feel very sorry for you. However, I have a suggestion. My 81-year-old brother served in Korea many years ago and learned that Koreans never get Alzheimer's or dementia because they ate Kimchi, which is a salad type food similar to lettuce. So, when he began to get dementia about 3 years ago, he started to eat it every day and it is amazing how much better he is now! You can buy it at Pick n Save and other stores. Give it a try and let me know if it helps. BG25

On at 9 off at 12:30, water 48, wind up and down all the time. Went through 100 wax worms. Kept 22, 7 1/2 to 8 1/2. Caught gills sun fish and bass. 4 feet of water. I only fished about an hour. Now the YADA YADA. Had my boy home for the weekend, he is gone. He is in stage 9 of Alzsheimer, a vegetable. He does not know who he is. Can not feed himself. A little over a year ago he was stage 6. Now the bad part. I fished with my wife today. Had to roll her off the pier to get her in the boat. That was the easy part, getting her out was a trip. Now for the really, really bad part. She was stage 4 Alzsheimers last year, now she is stage 6. She could handle a rod pretty good last year, not so good this year. I did all the baiting and taking fish off of her line. Also taking the tangles out of her line. I could not get her to close the bail as her bait hit the water. Nothing more to say. But if any one out there has any one they love with this crap. Give them all you got, time wise. Because it sneaks up on you fast and suddenly its too late to spend the time with them that they deserve. My best to you and yours.

The wind last night sank the ice on most Western Waukesha County Lakes. Bass Abductor was already pulling in 8 to 9 inch gills today on open water
