Rock River At BlackHawk Island Area Reports Only

Caught one spawned out female walleye and some whitebass. Water was 57 when I left. 
Wish people would use the plenty available single parking spaces and leave the double spots for trailer rigs at Kmart launch. Seems ignorant or inconsiderate to others.

The walleye that were 14 1/2" are now 17 1/2" caught 5, plus 2 sheep heads and nice cat fished from the old Kmart to the clam beds down stream from Hy 12 bridge. Jig and a minnow with some plastic.

Any piers in either river or lake?

Out yesterday, launched in Fort fished north.  Visibility bad, water up about another 6” and much faster and more junk coming down river.  Nothing 7-11 maybe one hit and go.  Was told a 29 and 24 caught off wall by boat launch.  Didn’t see it so?

Wind didn’t help as well as cold.  

Still all No Wake

Are any sections still under slow no wake? Groeler down to the lake? Newville launch up to the lake? The lake in general?

Good crowd out there today 15-20 boats.Rain,snow and sleet made it exciting. We caught around 12 eyes,all shorts.Saw some others catching but all shorts.

We tried trolling the lake with zero fish then jigged Newville side with zero fish.

Anybody been out recently? 

There is no public parking for truck/trailer by VFW.  The launch next to it is a gated private boat club and marked with no trespassing signs. Island Bar and Grill charges to launch/park, but you need to call to see which days. They do close it to launching on some days. The launch under the bypass bridge is a public launch with parking limited to the launch area. Tickets have been issued to vehicles parked where No Parking is posted.
