Your probably right.  But I have seen 10 inches of ice go away in one night.  No snow! High wind! Melting  ice.  Water moving on top of ice will eat through 10 inches of ice.  I have seen it.  Be very careful..   Thank You.

Thanks Epi!!!
I am heading over there next week and was wondering if I should take my boat or wheeler.
Guessing neither if only 4-5" and warm weather forecast. Got creepers and so so knees.
 Tight lines!

Did this cold spell lock the lake up, or is it still open?

Pier-Pressure, how long ago was that you were on North Twin with water temp of 72?  Im hoping to get a current water temp, or a very recent one, if anyone can let me know.  Thanks!

Stayed at La Vita E Bella cabin - highly recommend this VRBO cabin that is very close to the ramp, modern and well equipped. We fished North Twin for 4 days.  Water temp was 72 and weather varied from storms to bright sun.

We found many walleyes trolling cranks in 10-16’ of water with several slot fish and kept a handful for a great fish fry. We also had lots of perch and smallies in the mix mostly by the reedy points to the west. Bass were shallower @10’.

We didn’t catch any musky but saw a nice one in the low 40’s.

So first of all, I've been a Wisconsin resident all of my (long) life and the first time I fished North Twin was last August. Caught a bunch of panfish and a few Waleye. I've heard that the Waleye action is great in the spring, but would like some info about water temps and how to fish in the spring. Thanks in advance.
