is anyone catching anything in the area??
Coming up tomorrow. Sick of the west side and the madness on the rivers.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ice: 8"
Report is from this afternoon 2-2-24.
Went out of Point Comfort just south of Bayshore to check out ice conditions and see if I couldn't hook any whities.
Ice was 7-12 inches, but it is soft below the top 3 inches.
Set up in 14 fow and started marking fish immediately. Probably marked over 100 fish in the 1.5 hours that I was fishing.
Managed to get 3 topside and missed many more.
Good look to everyone looking to get out there this weekend, might be the last ice of the year on the bay.
Be safe!!

Pretty slow day fishing the morning shift. Tried by the launch and caught a few releasing the small ones. Minnows on drop shot rigs did best but spoons had hits too. Migrated to the group near Dykesville but did no better. Offshore winds and some sunshine made for easy boating but only ended up keeping 4, one at 13 inches. Some of the releasd fish coughed up spiney water fleas and small gobies. Wasted time fishing worms prompting multiple goby bites.

Started around 7in the morning, heading south as the lot was filling up. Bit of a traffic jam for a while. Dropped lines in 14ft. and then moved to 17 and caught a nice perch right away. The second one was a 14 incher! Spotty bite between the two of us and then ran out of minnows right away. Crawler pieces on my dropper spoon caught the rest. Bite dropped off after 9. We ended up with 8 nice sized fish releasing white bass, gobies, and smaller perch.
