Long Lake

lol, why on earth would you troll on this lake?   

Drifted,trolled,an casted....NADA....water temp 55 an still crystal clear.  colors at peak, an only highlite...couple of Otters swam around the boat for awhile...wonder if they caught anything...  

Fished over 3 hours this evening... had light rain off an on...only had 1 follow from a Northern. Water temp 60 and crystal clear. Weeds are almost all down DNR fishing pier is pulled out. Only bright spot was the sun peakin out as I left.

Tryed fishing around 10 AM. Checked out many areas 6' to 10' that in past were good panfish spots no activity or fish on graph until crossing the deep water around 23' the graph lit up 6' down fish marking everwhere to bottom, tried spotlocking, drifting, casting many different baits with out any interested fish. Only boated 1 perch that was tight to bottom and only 4" long. Drop in temperature may have caused fishing to slow down.

Gave it a shot last evening after the ...wake boats were done...no wind but they make 2 foot waves so tough fishin in that. Anyway only managed a few Bass...tried trolling, but with alot of floating weeds was constantly getting snagged. Water temps still in the high 70's....beautiful evening an once again no skeeters.

Trolling tir the walleyes ?

Went out yesterday morning from 7 -10:30 am . Nailed the fish . Anything from panfish to walleye were caught all released. Total count of fish was 40. Tight lines ??

Was out last evening water temps 79-80. Noticed heavy weed growth in areas I usually try. Also noticed absence of no wake bouys  especially on south end. With that said alot of bigger boats coming in closer to shore chewing up the weed beds. Be nice to find out who is responsible for placement of said items.  Managed a bucketmouth, waterwolf , and a gil. Pic of it to show what it hit and the amazing color...guess thats how it got its name.  Launched at former UFO bar...$10...didnt want the hassle of state launch. Beautiful evening no skeeters...even the Osprey enjoyed it.
