Wolf River Shiocton

It might be a Buffalo carp, I think their native in this state. People that fish the Mississippi river are familiar to them.
Not sure if it's a largemouth or smallmouth buffalo.

Looks like a big mouth buffalo.

caught this tonight on  Rapala fishing up river from county hwy S  landing anyone know what the hec it is

hows the walleye run at this point are there many walleyes left up in the Shiocton area or are they pretty much all gone back

Fished 5:30 till dark. One on a jig and minnow and one on a jig and crawler. One hit on a Shad-Rap. Had several more bites that just took the bait. Fished the top end of a sweeping sand bar and a deeper slow current spot with current coming out of the woods with action in both. Water is as high as I’ve seen in quite some time.

White bass, sheep’s, suckers ,cats and sturgeon going up.   Suckers and a few walleye going down.

Arod, go back one page and see the photos I posted of Koepkes. It was on 4/6 and the water level gauge in Shiocton was at 12.9’. Today the water level gauge in Shiocton is 12.57’. You will need knee boots to launch. I was upstream of Koepkes yesterday and the water level there was higher than any point this spring. Today’s and tomorrow’s rain won’t help either. 

What's the water level at Keopke landing? Hoping it has gone down a little making launching a boat possible.
