4 inches of ice, targeted panfish, brought home 5 after several hours of fishing

Ice was a fairly consistent 3.5-4.5" on 1-6, fishing was slow, lots of lookers very few bites. Vertical jigs and crappie minnows seemed to work well. 

Heading up on the 4th, is it starting to freeze solid yet? Forecast looks hopeful that it can be 5" by then if frozen now. Thanks for any information.

Open water from 2 to 15 feet from shoreline depending on where I checked. Lake is up several inches from rain run-off.  Several cracks on main lake have opened up and ice sheets are separated by what looks like two feet.  Ice has a rotten look.

Anybody out today? Or planning on going tomorrow???

Both ramps people were using.  I saw fisherman off the north ramp fishing  and people off the south ramp fishing by the island

Was that the North or South boat landing? Any luck?

How much ice out there? Looking at going this weekend. Think the rain will ruin it? Thx.

Fished yesterday on the east end by where the river feeds in water temps were anywhere from 70-73 degrees and probably drop a little more today.  Had one nice musky briefly hit my lure but that was it.  Nice to be out of the 80s for water temp
