FISHING REPORT

Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 56° - 60° F Water Temp: 56° - 60° F
Got out Sat. And Sun. out of Bay Point park in Red Wing. Fished hair jigs against rock and sand with current. Caught 3- 20" walleyes along with big drum and white bass. Pretty slow for the walleyes. Ended the day pulling double rapalas rigs at the cans at the head of the lake. 1 little sauger there but they say it has been a late afternoon bite down there. Pitched to the same water on Sunday with 1 17" walleye and more drum. Headed to the dam. 15 boats up there with very little action. Bite still slow but it won't be long. Cool Want to thank Eric Olson for showing us how to work the hair jigs with Hi-vis Suffix mono. We went through a lot of jigs but after 2 days we had a good feel for what to do. Can't wait to try it out on pool 12.

This is Minnesota buddy. Leave your boat at home and bring some ice fishing gear. Fat sauger are being caught in Pool 4 but they are coming through the ice. I would love to show you where but I'm heading up northern MN to slaughter those fish for a while.

Lookin for someone with some knowledge in the red wing area, I'm not really wanting to fish the well known areas, I'm looking for someone who has that little something different ways to fish for these eyes and fat sauger, I have a 1900 pro- v 225 9.9 kicker and a 101 trolling motor, so we can get to where we need to go, So I'm thinkin I want to be up there in a few weeks, if your interested on fishin a couple days and show me awesome fishin in your area let me know! If your askin yourself why should I show this guy my spots , don't worry, I've never been there, and I live in Illinois. So I won't be telling anyone your spots , I have always wanted to go there and I got the ok from my wife to go , So who wants to be the guide for the day and take me fishin! E- mail me Wired4Walleye @ yahoo. Com

Fished the lake for a few hours saturday morning. The walleyes were slow, but the white bass were on fire. Any minnow imitation plastic or hair jig produced a bunch of fish in 12-16 inch range. Kinda strange, never caught that many pitching in the fall. Also hooked one walleye, a sheepshead, a few crappies and a half dozen smallies. Was predicted to be windy and they predicted right.

Nice walleyes wallhanger. Are those 27-28 inch fish? Looks like some calm winds in the background. I have my fingers crossed for light winds this weekend down there.
