Plan for your next trip to William M. Tugman State Park today as you explore Oregon’s coastal area. Located near U.S. Route 101, this state park is easy to find. Not far from some larger cities, William M. Tugman State Park is north of Coos Bay, south of Reedsport, and only a short drive east of the Oregon Dune National Recreation Area. A great overnight stay, while close to town, William M. Tugman State Park makes you feel like you are off the beaten path.

Parking

Once you enter William M. Tugman State Park, there are three loops for RV camping. A Loop sites are open to reservations all year long. B Loop is open from May to mid-September and offers first-come, first-served camping. C Loop is open for reservations from mid-May to October 1st, weather permitting. The campground is well-shaded and evenly spaced, so you won't need to pack leveling blocks as the camping sites provide asphalt pads. Need some extra room? Try to camp on the outside of the loop as sites tend to be larger. Be careful driving around the campground as this state park is popular amongst families during the in-season months and there are many cyclists of all ages enjoying the scenery.

William M. Tugman Campground A Loop and C Loop

Everything you want in an Oregon campground. Relax under the shade as you camp at the William M. Tugman Campground. With 94 RV partial-hookup sites, you can’t go wrong camping at this gorgeous place. A Loop is open to camping year-round while C Loop is open for reservations from mid-May to October 1st. A dog-friendly park, plan to bring Fido along as there is a designated off-leash area for your four-legged friends.

At this state park, you’ll find sites provide RV campers with electricity, water, flushing toilets, and free hot showers. There is a dump station but no sewer hookups for campers. At the individual site, there is an asphalt pad, a picnic table, and fire ring. With the abundance of trees and shrubbery, the lots provide a sense of privacy during your stay. An excellent destination to access Oregon’s Eel Lake and taking advantage of hiking, fishing, and relaxing during your stay. Due to the park’s popularity, reservations are advised.

Make plans to participate in the free fishing weekend at Eel Lake hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard. Participants learn about fishing safety and receive a free fishing pole upon completion of the course.
